Internships are integral in building well-rounded legal professionals and enabling students to truly appreciate law ‘in-practice’ and ‘in-action’. The Rules of Legal Education of the Bar Council of India requires law students to intern. Our dedicated Career Advancement Office (CAO) is at the heart of BITS Law School’s commitment towards experiential learning.
The CAO will facilitate, support, and curate internships for law students and connect with recruiters in corporate law practice, with appellate advocates, domestic and international law firms, judiciary, legal regulatory authorities, management consulting firms, legislatures, with parliamentarians, audit & accounting firms, ADR & mediation firms, start-ups, research institutions, think tanks, regulatory bodies, and NGOs.
Through a planned and diversified portfolio of internships over five years, law students are nurtured across different functional areas, industries, sectors, and roles. Further, internships teach valuable life skills, including but not limited to working in cross-cultural teams, managing time and deadlines, project management, professional conduct and etiquette, and business communication in a collegial and controlled environment.
While the list of organisations continually expands, the following firms have expressed their pleasure in considering BITS Law School students for internships and placements:
