Programme Curriculum

BITS Law School offers a five-year integrated Bachelor of Business Administration – Bachelor of Legislative Law Honours programme and Bachelor of Arts – Bachelor of Legislative Law Honours programme with an interdisciplinary curriculum that emphasises a creative pedagogy combining mooting, clinical and legal education, internships, and workplace skills. The programmes have been carefully crafted by accomplished professionals with the goal of transforming legal education while preparing students for flourishing legal careers in their chosen field of interest.

The 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programmes offer a strong foundation in the social sciences, arts, and humanities as the basis of learning, practicing, and excelling in law and the legal discipline. These integrated programmes are designed to instill in students a creative, socially conscious, and ethical mindset with a strong grounding in social and cultural practices. Additionally, through mooting, clinical legal education, group projects, Internships and Readiness at Workplace (RAW) modules, students will have a wide range of opportunities to apply their learning outcomes from the coursework.

Internship & Mentorship Program

Internships are integral in building well-rounded legal professionals and enabling students to truly appreciate law ‘in-practice’ and ‘in-action’. The Rules of Legal Education of the Bar Council of India requires law students to intern. Our dedicated Industry Interface & Career Advancement Office (IICAO) team is at the heart of BITS Law School’s commitment towards experiential learning.

The expert IICAO will facilitate, support, and curate internships for law students and connect with recruiters in corporate law practice, with appellate advocates, domestic and international law firms, judiciary, legal regulatory authorities, management consulting firms, legislatures, with parliamentarians, audit & accounting firms, ADR & mediation firms, start-ups, research institutions, think tanks, regulatory bodies, and NGOs.

Through a planned and diversified portfolio of internships over five years, law students are nurtured across different functional areas, industries, sectors, and roles. Further, internships teach valuable life skills, including but not limited to working in cross-cultural teams, managing time and deadlines, project management, professional conduct and etiquette, and business communication in a collegial and controlled environment.

While the list continually expands, the following firms have expressed their pleasure in considering BITS Law School students for internships and placements:

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (3rd year onwards)
AZB & Partners
Khaitan & co
Bain & Company
Gateway House
Selendy Gay Elsberg
Ernst & Young

Note: All Trademarks, Logos, and Brand Names are the property of their respective owners. Some leading law firms and consulting firms may accept applications from students in 3rd year.

Our admissions process is carefully designed to holistically evaluate each applicant, giving them every opportunity to demonstrate their strengths and abilities. Eligibility and evaluation parameters are as follows:

  • Applicant must have a minimum of 45% marks in Grade 12 or equivalent from a recognised board and a valid entrance exam score to participate in the admission process. This however does not guarantee selection to BITS Law School, which follows a holistic process based on a complete application form, marks in Grade 12, co/extra-curricular activities, personal interview, and an entrance exam score.
  • Law entrance examination scores accepted- (BITS Law Admission Test/CLAT/LSAT-India/AILET/MHCET Law).
  • Co-curricular achievements.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Applicants yet to receive their final grade 12 and/or law entrance exam scores are eligible to apply and will be expected to indicate in their application form that they are awaiting their results.

As an integral part of learning at BITS Law School, the Moot Court will help build confidence, develop communication skills, strengthen research abilities, and enhance the employability prospects of our law graduates.

Clinical legal education are methods of student-centric teaching that rely on practical, problem-solving, solution-oriented, and interactive methods. Under the supervision of faculty and professionals, BITS Law School students undertake practice-based work on real life cases and social causes.
